Soul Train creator and television personality Don Cornelius was arrested earlier this month on felony domestic assault charges. According to Los Angeles police, officers from the department were called to Cornelius’ home where he was arrested and taken to the Van Nuys jail.

The 72-year old television host posted a $50,000 bail and was released the day after his arrest. He is expected to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on November 14 on the charges. A department spokesman said that the did not know who Cornelius was accused of assaulting, but Cornelius shares his home with his wife.
