Los Angeles County Man Arrested In Murder Of Roommate

A 63-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and is being held on a $1 million bond after Los Angeles Police Department officers completed their investigation of the incident. Reportedly, police were called to a Los Angeles home on West 8th Street on November 30, 2008 to investigate a report of a stabbing. When police arrived, they found 74-year-old Benito Naiera suffering from multiple stab wounds. Mr. Naiera was taken to the hospital and treated for his wounds, but died from his injuries that afternoon. Police later arrested Cresencio Gomez in connection with the fatal stabbing.
