A 65-year-old Simi Valley man was arrested on suspicion of murder this weekend after an early-morning incident. According to police, Harry Scribner was awakened at about 1:00 AM on Sunday morning by someone knocking on his door. He got a pistol and opened the door to find his daughter and her boyfriend arguing on the front lawn of his home. Police said that there was a confrontation between Scribner and Bryan Wall, 31, during which Mr. Wall was shot. He died of his wounds in the driveway, before police and rescue personnel arrived. Scribner was booked into the Ventura County Jail.
