Ventura Robbery Suspect Arrested

Police arrested a Ventura robbery suspect last Thursday. The man, Rene Hernandez, 19, of Santa Paula, is accused of stealing beer and threatening an employee of a Fillmore gas station with a gun. Santa Paula police spotted the vehicle used in the robbery about 20 minutes after the victim reported the incident and stopped it. When police searched the car, they found both the beer and the handgun. Hernandez. Three other men in the car were detained but released without being charged.
